Morning yoga = sun salutations, The Beatles White Album and incense. Oh San Francisco <3 I finally found a studio close to my apartment with classes before work. Utterly perfect way to start the day.
I hope hope hope this is the start of a weekly routine.

chicken dance
The park rangers posted signs about coyote sightings near work, including what to do if one encounters a coyote. 1) DO NOT PET, 2) DO NOT FEED, and 3) clap loudly or make loud noises.
Gob's chicken dance should work.

Mother Jones: The New York Times' Rape-Friendly Reporting
We do not live in post-feminist world.
Residents in the neighborhood where the abandoned trailer stands—known as the Quarters—said the victim had been visiting various friends there for months. They said she dressed older than her age, wearing makeup and fashions more appropriate to a woman in her 20s. She would hang out with teenage boys at a playground, some said.
"Where was her mother? What was her mother thinking?" said Ms. Harrison, one of a handful of neighbors who would speak on the record. "How can you have an 11-year-old child missing down in the Quarters?"I had to re-read those sentences several times last night to make sure my eyes were not fooling me. The New York Times was blaming an 11 year old gang rape victim and her mother.

comfort zone
I used to cling to my comfort zone. But at some point I learned the only way to make life happen - and to grow - is to break the shell. That's how I met my soul mate. Visited a foreign country. Moved to San Francisco. Found photography. Confronted my anxiety. Started running
I face each day like I face my runs - I'll never regret hitting the pavement, but I'll always regret missing the opportunity. Growth only comes from movement.

whiskey
At Alembic, the host provides a book rather than a menu. The bartenders make whatever you want, and perfectly. Mad scientists conjuring delicious cocktails. And they're artists - my guy struggled to place the toothpick of fruit just so on the Singapore Sling, like the final splashes of paint on a masterpiece.
